Title: Standard Chutney Recipe

Yield: 4 Servings

5cSeedless raisins; chopped
6cGreen apples; chopped - or
  Pears
2 2/3cOnions; minced
2/3cSalt
5lbRed tomatoes; peeled and
  Diced
3lbBrown sugar
2 1/2ptCider vinegar
1/4lbGinger; minced
1/2lbWhite mustard seed
  Cayenne pepper to taste

Cook all together slowly in a gigantic kettle (or in batches) for 3 hr until thick. Put up in jars in the standard way, using a hot water bath. :makes 1 gallon or so
